Louis F. Lamy and Women

The Louis F. Lamy luxury eyewear collection will delight today's women with the charm of its highly upscale models with a look of contemporary jewelry.

The different models in the Louis F. Lamy Women's Collection feature gems and crystal, two sparkling, luminous materials that bring out the radiance of even the softest expression.

The 3 types of gems that refine the Louis F. Lamy models are Galalite (milk stone), Onyx and Synthetic Ruby.
From "gala" (milk) and "lite" (stone), galalite is harder than horn, shinier than bone and silkier to the touch than ivory.
Starting in 1918, galalite was produced and commonly used to make luxury items such as jewelry, cigarette holders and fountain pens.
The end of the Second World War, with the advent of molded plastic materials, spelled the end for widespread use of galalite, which became too expensive and disappeared from the market. Today, there are only a handful of craftsmen who still use it for high quality, entirely hand made items.

The Crystals come in a range of rich, varied colors to give either a more classic or more original finish.

All of the models in the collection are gold plated (22K, 5 micron minimum).

Louis F. Lamy has what it takes to appeal to women:
- Luxury
- Quality
- Value
- Rarity
